Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters to us.

BrainFusion is designed to be privacy-friendly from the ground up. Learners join games without accounts, and we collect only what's necessary to provide the service.

Last updated: March 19, 2026

1. Information We Collect

When you create a BrainFusion account, we collect:

  • Your email address (used for login and account communication)
  • A password (stored securely using industry-standard hashing)

When you use the platform, we may also collect:

  • Games and questions you create
  • Session and gameplay data (scores, responses, timestamps)
  • Basic usage analytics to improve the service

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to provide and improve BrainFusion. Specifically:

  • To authenticate your account and maintain your session
  • To deliver analytics and reports on gameplay performance
  • To send important service updates (you can opt out of non-essential emails)
  • To improve the platform based on aggregated usage patterns

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Learner Privacy

BrainFusion is designed so that learners (students, trainees, participants) can join games without creating accounts. When learners play:

  • They enter only a session code and a display name (first name or nickname)
  • No email, password, or personally identifiable information is required
  • Gameplay responses are tied to the session, not to a persistent identity

This privacy-by-design approach means learner data is minimal and not linked to any account.

4. Children's Privacy

BrainFusion does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since learners join games without accounts and provide only a display name, no personal data is collected from minors during gameplay.

Account creation (which requires an email address) is intended for educators, trainers, and adult users. If we become aware that a child under 13 has created an account, we will promptly delete it.

5. Security

We take reasonable precautions to protect your information, including:

  • Passwords are hashed using bcrypt (never stored in plain text)
  • All data transmitted over HTTPS encryption
  • Regular security reviews of our codebase and infrastructure

No data transmission over the internet is entirely secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Cookies

BrainFusion uses cookies for essential functionality:

  • Session cookies to maintain your login state
  • Preference cookies (such as your theme selection)
  • Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) to understand how the site is used

You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but this may affect your ability to use certain features such as staying logged in.

7. Third-Party Services

BrainFusion uses the following third-party services:

  • Stripe for payment processing (we do not store credit card information)
  • OpenAI for AI-powered game generation (your prompts are sent to OpenAI's API)
  • Google Analytics for understanding site usage
  • Resend for transactional email delivery

Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We are not responsible for their practices, but we choose partners who take data protection seriously.

8. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you wish to delete your account and associated data, please contact us at support@brainfusion.games.

Gameplay session data may be retained in aggregated form for analytics purposes even after individual sessions are no longer accessible.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
